A new tiny PC with a strong AMD APU was just introduced by Zotac, the ZBOX edge MA762. The system is extremely flat at 28.5 mm and is only 149.5 x 149.5 mm. A compatible VESA mount makes quick work of mounting the system to the rear of a display. Powerful and equipped with an AMD Radeon 780M graphics package, the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS is an APU with eight cores. According to Zotac, the ZBOX edge MA762 can handle games with low textures and Full HD resolution. To chill down, a little fan works.
The system may be upgraded, so you can easily access the RAM and SSD. Two more DDR5 RAM slots are available, allowing for a maximum of 64 GB of 5600 MHz RAM. You can install one solid-state drive (SSD) in the M.2 2280 format. With four PCIe 4.0 lanes connecting it, the data transmission rates are extremely high. For instance, you can’t install a memory card or a hard disk with a 2.5-inch format.
You can connect three 4K displays at once thanks to the availability of HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort, and USB 4. There are three USB 3.2 ports and two Gigabit Ethernet ports on the board. WLAN connections and Bluetooth input devices/headsets are made possible via WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
No official release date has been announced for the ZBOX edge MA762. You can get these little systems from Zotac with cheaper, less powerful CPUs right now.
